| The Yak-18T's initial total airframe life is of 3 000 hours to be extended. Recently the Yakovlev Design Bureau started to transfer the Yak-18T to operations-according-to-condition scheme, after a mandatory full certified overhaul of the airframe. In practice, there is a 50 - 100 - 200 hours basic maintenance schedule plus major technical inspections at 1000 and 2000 hours that can be conducted by certified specialists at any equipped workshop. The most common works consist in the replacement of original linen coverings (5 years) - whence the popularity iof synthetic coverings, operqted on condtion, of hoses (9,5 years). Another major limit is the number of landings (3000). |
